Lola 42 – sibling to popular Nantucket bistro and sushi bar Lola 41 – opens its doors tomorrow in Boston’s Seaport District, inside of the Twenty Two Liberty building (22 Liberty Dr.) on Fan Pier, according to the restaurant’s Facebook page.
This expansion has been a long time coming for the restaurant group, which also includes Station 21 and Lola Burger, both on Nantucket. Back in 2013, it looked like a second Lola 41 could open at 50 Gloucester St. in Boston’s Back Bay; that never came to pass, and Select Oyster Bar ultimately opened in that space. Then, in late 2016, Lola 42 was announced. (Speaking latitudinally, Nantucket is near the 41st parallel north of the equator, and Boston is near the 42nd.)
